TEMPORARY RIGGER
Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for among other things, the following:-
- Aligning, leveling, and anchoring machinery
- Attaching loads to rigging
- Ensuring that rigging equipment is dismantled and properly stored after use
- Carrying out tests on rigging equipment occasionally to ensure safety and reliability
- Communicating with workers that are engaged in the process of hoisting and moving loads
- Strictly adhering to safety regulations and precautions
- Storing of any rigging equipment or machinery used in moving.
The ideal candidate must have the following basic qualifications and attributes:-
- Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent
- Rigging Certificate
- At least one year of rigging experience in a busy construction project
- Must demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
- Spatial awareness
- Must be of sober habits.
