JOB DESCRIPTION
Ethanol Company Limited (EthCo) is a molasses based ethanol production firm located in Dwangwa, a town in the Nkhotakota Lakeshore District of Malawi. Commissioned in 1982, the Company has produced over 300 million litres of ethanol at both 99.5%v/v and 96%v/v ethanol strength. EthCo is the pioneer of Ethanol production in Malawi.
An Opportunity has arisen in the Finance Department for the following job:-
Stores Clerk
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the successful candidate shall among other things, be responsible for receiving and issuing of stocks, daily checking of raw materials and finished products (ethanol) using a tank dipping method and reconciling stock balances.
The ideal candidate must have the following basic qualifications and attributes:-
- Malawi School Certificate of Education;
- Certificate in Accounting or CIPS or equivalent;
- Must be prepared to work odd hours;
- Must demonstrate good communication and numerical skills;
- Must have a working knowledge in Stores Management (but not a prerequisite);
- Must be able to work at heights;
- Must have strong work ethics, be reliable, adaptable and a team player;
- Must be of sober habits.
